Seven card stud
Seven Card Stud is the most popular stud game. With 3 down cards and 4 showed cards in each player's hand is a game full of surprises. It has 5 rounds of betting and requires lot of patience.
Before the cards are dealt each player posts an ante, which is a fraction of bet. Players are then dealt 2 cards face down and 1 face up. The lowest face up card is required to make a small bet(bring-in) or a normal one. Any players can now fold, call or raise. Once betting has been equalized a second card face up is dealt and an other round betting will start. This time the highest face up hand will act first. Players can check or bet if no one bet yet or they can fold, call or raise if anyone did already bet or raise. If a pair is showed in one of the players hand, the player will have the option of making a double bet if no one did it yet(only 1 double bet for the whole betting round).
Most casinos allow 3 or 4 raises per betting round, except when only 2 players will still be in the hand. then, there is no limit to the number of raises allowed. The order of playing is decided by the higher hand except for the first round as we saw. Betting usually double from 5th street except if anyone will have a pair in an early stage. In that case everyone will have the option to make a first double bet. 5th and 6th street are dealt face up. 7th street or the river is dealt face down.
If 2 or more player will get to the end still being active, they will show their hands and the best 5 cards hand will win the pot.
